Nursing

Certified Nursing Assistants, Medication Technicians, Restorative Nursing Assistants, LPN’s and RN’s.

The Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Nursing Department includes certified nursing assistants, medication technicians, restorative nursing assistants, LPN’s and RN’s.

We have a wound care certified nurse, care plan nurses, and staff nurses to assist in developing a plan of care for the resident.

The restorative program offers exercises and treatments to assist the resident in maintaining function and preventing decline. This modality is used when a resident has met their therapy goals and therapy is discontinuing services.

The certified wound care nurse assists the nursing staff in the management of all types of wounds. The wound care nurse is also the liaison with our wound care physician, so consultation can be made when indicated.

Our ventilator unit is state of the art with skilled nurses and respiratory therapists to manage the resident’s plan of care. A pulmonologist (specialty in lung disease) consults with the staff and also assists with developing a plan of care for our ventilator dependent residents. We provide ventilator services, weaning services, speaking valves and other respiratory care.

Our care plan nurses coordinate with the nursing staff, family and physician to provide a comprehensive plan of care. All of the various departments meet at intervals to provide an interdisciplinary plan of care. Families are also invited to participate in this process.

Our rehabilitation unit provides short stay care, discharge planning, medication management and family and resident teaching.
